Roofstock 2018: Queer Festival Fundraiser was a fundraising event run by and for the Kaleidoscope Trust.

I was given free reign to design a poster, also creating social assets to promote the event. I wanted the poster to feel like a Pride street party, reflect the diversity of the queer community coming together for a fun event to support a great cause.

Kaleidoscope Trust is an organisation working with governments, change-makers and civil society organisations in countries still affected by anti-LGBTI+ laws imported during British colonial rule.

With a beautiful simplicity and focus on poignant historical imagery, this series of short videos for the Britsh Red Cross compels the audience to Continue The Story. We used a classic animated photograph technique to bring to life important moments in the Red Cross' history of charity work, reminding them about the incredible moments of human crisis and the organisations efforts to help at each. Elements of each famous shot are extracted and composited back into a 3D scene and animated subtly to bring life into each photograph. The British Red Cross’ red line tracks the journey through past crises where they were on the ground, supporting those in need.

Molten Brown wanted a beautiful video detailing the ingredients of their signature Orange and Bergamot scent. #AwakenTheCultIcon

I was brought in to animate gorgeous stills by James Cottell, drawings that take their cue from classic botanical illustration to tell a short story of the Orange and Bergamot creation, using every part of the Seville orange tree.

Skype Essentials

Skype Essentials was an animated tutorial series that spanned over 5 operating systems and 30+ languages. A bespoke software solution allowed the animation team to build a project once, and produce several localised versions of each How To video. Original concept UI files were optimised for animation, and composited in After Effects. My work on this large-scale project spanned 18 months, and included working with a very regimented and intricate organisation process for translating and delivery hundreds of videos. After a robust workflow was established, I was in part responsible for maintaining and streamlining this process where possible – troubleshooting and designing best practices for the team and newcomers.

Wombmates

My final year film at University for the Creative Arts, Farnham. Nominated for Best Animation at the Royal Television Society Awards, and selected for the London Short Film Festival.

Wombmates is a portrait of me and my twin brother, we reflect on our relationship and how seemingly polarised twins can actually be.
